I
think that every unit member that attended and supported this event would
rate this as one of the best shows to date with a large unit turnout, which
looks especially good on the two static display areas.
The 2nd Guards Rifle Division did themselves
proud in staging the Eastern Front Battle Display in the main areana which
included Cossack cavalry, A T34 tank, Red Army Infantry with a maxim machinegun
and Yak fighter plane for support. This is not forgetting the German vehicles
including a half track, and Panzer tank MKIII plus SS Infantry! This battle
had it all, but in the end, victory belonged to the Glorious Red Army.
A battle display enjoyed by the organisers, the re-enactors and public spectators alike!
