This will be the second time at this event but the the first time for us in this scenario, with our very own trench for us to use when we want. We will make it our own, adding our finishing touches as we do best. Contact Martin Standbridge who is coordinating the trench dig. Martins details are in the 'Who's who' in your KZ.
Scenario: Trench System
Set in1943 after our victory at Stalingrad and before Kursk. we are positioned in our trench to repel any German counter attack. We will spend time in improving the trench system during the weekend, which also looks good from the publics point of view.
Uniform and Kit:
The
Obr35 pattern uniform must be worn. I will have some spare
gyms to lend if need be. If you have Section 1 rifles or blank fires then
bring them along as it is planned for a few exchange shots towards the opposing
foe. Bring your Greatcoat or Telogrieka and some warm clothing.
Remember, if you have it with you, you have a choice, if you haven't, you
don't!!
Static Display:
We will also have a static display with the cooking and plashe tents as usual, but those of you, and pending the weather and conditions, may want to sleep in the trench!
If you can then please arrive on the Friday 15th but otherwise as early on Saturday morning as possible.
